InnovoMed establishes wound care centers that specialize in providing state-of-the-art, comprehensive wound
care services. These centers utilize the latest wound care techniques, procedures, equipment and adjunctive
therapies, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), to serve our patients and communities. We manage and
operate wound care centers that are dedicated to providing the highest quality care to all patients with
chronic, non-healing wounds and others who may have need of specialized hyperbaric services. Our number one
priority is saving lives and limbs.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is administered in a comfortable pressurized chamber where patients
breathe 100 percent oxygen. This enhances and accelerates the healing process. It has been shown to be
effective as a primary or adjunctive therapy for a growing variety of medical conditions, including:
- Wounds such as severe diabetic foot ulcers
- Damage from previous radiation therapy
- Surgical flaps
- Certain severe infections like gangrene and "flesh-eating bacteria"
- Grafts that show signs of failure due to lack of adequate circulation
- "The bends," a condition experienced among divers and others who work in
pressurized environments
- Acute carbon monoxide poisoning … and more
In addition, HBOT is cost effective and reimbursed by Medicare and other insurance companies for
